Story
The VHI Womens Mini Marathon has been postponed for 2020. However, The Alzheimer Society of Ireland always gets such a fantastic response from people who want to run the mini marathon and raise funds on our behalf that we couldn't let the weekend pass without marking the occasion.
Join #TeamASI for our first Virtual Mini Marathon on the 30th and 31st of May by running or walking 10km, either in one go or in your own time over the 2 days and sharing on your social media when you have finished.
How To Take Part in our First Virtual Mini Marathon :
To register as a participant for our first Virtual Mini Marathon just make a minimum donation of 20 on this page. We will enter all participants in to a draw to win some great prizes.
***PLEASE ENTER YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS ON THE LAST SCREEN BEFORE YOU CONFIRM YOUR DONATION TO GET YOUR RECEIPT. EMAIL JARLATH IN THE FUNDRAISING TEAM ON JARLATH.COYLE@ALZHEIMER.IE WITH YOUR REFERENCE NUMBER. YOUR REFERENCE NUMBER WILL DISPLAY ON THE SCREEN AFTER YOUR DONATION GOES THROUGH OR WILL BE AVAILABLE ON YOUR RECEIPT.***
After you are signed up just walk or run 10km on the weekend of the 30th or 31st of May. You can cover the distance in either one go or more, on either day or across both days. The choice is yours!! Thanks for Your Support!
We really appreciate your support at this difficult time as our normal calendar of fundraising events has been hugely disrupted by the regulations in place to ensure public safety. The Alzheimer Society of Ireland is still supporting people with dementia and their families as our Home Care; Dementia Advisers; National Helpline, and Online Family Carer Training are all still running, our administration staff are operating from their homes across the country and in addition we are looking at new ways of providing ASI support to our clients and their families.
Our National Helpline has now expanded with a new free call-back service which offers people with dementia and family carers from anywhere in Ireland the opportunity to book a 1:1 session with a Dementia Nurse or a Dementia Adviser during the COVID-19 public health emergency. Simply call 1800 341 341 to avail of this service.
