Residents at north Londons largest hostel for homelessness are creating an art exhibition called Work In Progress at Crouch End Picturehouse, N8, to raise money for new equipment, sofas and other furniture for the hostel canteen and communal areas.

Story

Providing safe and stable accommodation to over 300 young people annually, YMCA North Londons hostel is the largest of its kind in North London. We house 154 young people aged 16 to 35 years with pressing housing needs and, in addition, have a small number of room spaces in houses designed for moving on.

We aim to take a holistic approach to the young persons needs: as well as affordable accommodation, we offer support and guidance, activities for personal development and training and preparation for work.
