Not many people realise that all dogs in the council pounds in the UK only have 7 days to be claimed before they are destroyed. Horrible word I know , I could have said euthanised but these are no mercy killings, these poor souls are killed as they are not wanted . It was this reason that the founder of the rescue , Lianne Evans, started WWP 12 years ago.

It started as a staffy rescue but over the years, it changed to an any breed, shape or size rescue as we take all the dogs from the 3 local council pounds and no dog is left to its fate. In the past we have used private boarding kennels but an opportunity has arisen where we can purchase our own kennels and this has been our dream for so many years that we are going to do our very best to achieve this but we need your help.

We need to raise 40% of the asking price and this is a huge ask but we need to try . WWP is run by volunteers, who all have their own jobs too and whilst we are fundraising we still need to pay the Bill's so we really need your help
