We come to you with heavy hearts to share the story of Ayuba Iddirisu, a devoted father and husband who has faced countless trials in pursuit of a better life for his family. Born in Ghana and raised in poverty, Ayuba’s journey took him from the struggles of his homeland to the factories of Italy, and finally to the United Kingdom, where he hoped to secure a brighter future for his three children.

In the late 1980s, Ayuba left Ghana for Italy, where he worked tirelessly in a leather factory. Life took a difficult turn when he was made redundant in 2010, forcing him to move his family to the UK in 2016. Here, Ayuba sought to provide his children with education and opportunities that he never had. But the challenges continued to mount.

In 2019, Ayuba fell gravely ill. After a long hospital stay, he was moved to a care home, where his health continued to decline until he became bedbound in 2021. With his wife also suffering from ill health and no family in the UK, Ayuba’s situation has been heartbreaking. His relatives, who remain in Ghana, are unable to be here in this time of need.

As we mourn the passing of our brother, we are seeking your generous support to raise £4,700 to cover Ayuba’s burial costs. While the funeral director costs are covered by Iqbal and Sons Bereavement Services, we need your help to ensure that Ayuba is given a dignified farewell.
