Story

On 4 July 2026, Jodie, accompanied by family and friends, will be taking on a hike in loving memory of Barrie John Munro. They will be raising funds to support the work of Moving On Inverclyde, a local charity supporting individuals and families affected by problematic substance use.

Barrie sadly passed away on 14 May 2021. He was very much loved by his family and is remembered as a kind and caring person who brought warmth, humour, and laughter to those around him.

Moving On Inverclyde are honoured that Barrie’s family have chosen to fundraise for our service in his memory. Their decision reflects not only their love for Barrie, but a generous desire to help others who may be facing similar challenges.

The funds raised through this hike will help Moving On Inverclyde continue to support individuals and families across Inverclyde through our recovery services, giving people the opportunity to rebuild their lives with dignity, hope, and support.

We are incredibly grateful to Barrie’s family and friends for their kindness, courage, and commitment to keeping his memory alive through this meaningful fundraiser.

Thank you for supporting this cause.
