We are delighted to have you running the Brighton Half Marathon for #TeamBeacon on October 10th, 2021 and raising vital funds for the Sussex Beacon. Each year we help manage this event and can ensure your race day is better than ever with a Team Beacon designated area, toilets, refreshments and an exclusive medal as well as the finishers medal. We are hoping to raise a nurse's salary to help us continue our specialist care for people living with HIV, whether recovering from medical treatment, getting help with new medication or seeking mental health support.

Brighton has the second highest HIV prevalence in the UK and access to specialist care and support is vital. Daily medication now means people can live well with HIV however, many suffer with secondary illnesses such as cancer or dementia, or the psychological effects from having been subjected to HIV stigma, social isolation and prejudice.
