Story

We are the Mayor of Islington's chosen charities of the year. Councillor Rakhia Ismail chose us because of her admiration for the work we do. Due to the coronavirus pandemic we have cancelled all our planned fundraising events and we need support more than ever.

A survey by the Institute of Fundraising has found that charities predict their voluntary income will fall by 48%. Organisations across the sector have been asking the government to provide emergency funding and support charities like ours using the hashtag #EveryDayCounts.

We are not immune to this crisis and the challenges our organisations face are huge. With staff and volunteers numbers down, fundraising events and appeals cancelled, we are having to rapidly rethink our approach. We are calling on your support to help keep our vital services running during this pandemic.

Every day counts and every day is an opportunity for Nafsiyat to provide psychotherapy and counselling services for people from diverse cultural and ethnic communities. For Centre 404, every day is an opportunity to support people with learning disabilities and/or autism and their families.

The coronavirus does not discriminate. Neither do we here at Centre 404 and Nafsiyat charities.

Will you back the Mayor's campaign by donating today? By donating £5, £10, £15 or other, you will help us keep supporting some of society's already most isolated, marginalised and vulnerable people.

How your donation will make a difference:

At Nafsiyat, the funds raised will enable us as a charity to further continue to support those most vulnerable in our communities who desperately need our support. We rely on voluntary donations and monies raised through this campaign will help pay for our therapy services such as psychotherapy and counselling services for people from diverse cultural and ethnic communities.

At Centre 404, your donation will directly support our incredibly dedicated staff on the front line and those redesigning services from home. Together we can ensure every person with a learning disability and their family we support have access to food, medication and services designed to help them cope with added financial pressures, emotional stress and social isolation during this difficult time.
