Story

We are a hardworking group of local volunteers, who have been coming together for the past 30 years, to host our annual walk in Clonaslee, Co. Laois, on the 26th of December. Our walk takes in the beautiful scenery that the Slieve Bloom has to offer. It is a social gathering that hundreds of people have marked in their diaries yearly. The walk raises funds for our local charity, The Laois Hospice Foundation.

Our annual St Stephen's Day walk will take place in the beautiful village of Clonaslee. It is our 30th anniversary and we are hoping for a great turn out on the day!

As usual we have a long ten mile walk and the three mile family walk. We are delighted this year to resume serving light refreshments in the community centre upon your return from the walk.

We look forward to seeing many of our regular walkers and welcoming new faces for this great day out for a fantastic cause, Laois Hospice.

About the charity

Since its inception in 1989, Laois Hospice has helped to provide a palliative care service for Cancer patients, whose illness no longer responds to curative treatment. The Hospice also provides support for the families of such patients.
