As a Charity we have been looking at what we can do to help during the current pandemic , so today we launch our Basic Essentials Fund for families on the IOW that have been affected financially by Covid 19, our aim is to provide basic food parcels . baby parcels or gas and electric top ups to vulnerable families that are living in Covid 19 related poverty.

We are opening our granting at this time to not only children living with a disability or life limiting condition but to any family with a child that is struggling to survive financially, we want to support the most vulnerable families such as those who rely on a school meal to feed their children, families who have lost employment and those who without this support will struggle to survive financially. We will also be looking to support those families with children that are having to isolate for 12 weeks due to illness or disability if they are unable to access shopping slots or leave the home and are struggling for food and essentials.

The Grants will be to the value of £35 and will be offered by way off a basic food box, basic baby box ( nappies, wipes, milk ) we will also consider topping up electric or gas meters ( these must be able to be done online ) .

We welcome applications from schools, children's centres, health visitors and any professional who knows of families that desperately need this support, once up and running we will also be offering a self referal system or nomination scheme however we would need to ask for some proof of financial difficulty for this.

We will work through applications on a first come first serve basis as and when funds come in, and all will be based on how much funding we receive, we hope we can make a small difference and help those in need so please support us if you can.
