Story
This year, due to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, Cranleigh Rotary (in association with St. Nicolas Church parishioners) is pursuing a combined Real and Virtual shoebox-gifting strategy which will enable donors to either fill a shoebox or make a DONATION. All donation will then be used to purchase suitable gifts in Romania for disadvantaged children.
Corneliu Medrea is Pastor of the Bethlehem Centre in the old steel town of Hunedoara in western Romania. He and his wife Diana have been active for many years in distributing thousands of shoeboxes, donated by generous UK schoolchildren and adults, to Romainian children who have a disablity or are disadvantaged and unlikely to get presents at Christmas.
