What better way to "INVEST" than in the Cranleigh Baby Bank
The Baby Bank in Cranleigh was set up in October 2020, during a very challenging time. It is hosted by the Cranleigh Methodist Church. In a very short time the volunteers who run it have supported families in the area who have been referred by local agencies. Thanks to very generous donations of clothes and equipment by members of the local community the Baby Bank is able to offer baby clothes up to five years of age and has just started adding some items for older siblings. Its aim is to provide anything baby related including nappies and larger items of equipment such as Moses baskets, cots, prams and pushchairs. The Baby Bank has not been able to open at the moment because of lockdown restrictions but has continued to help families by delivering items to them.
A BIG CHALLENGE is finding enough space to be able to store the donated clothes and equipment. The donations made to this Baby Bank Fundraising Campaign will make it possible to purchase a large and secure storage shed. Any additional money raised will help towards keeping this very valuable resource available for families in the community.
When the Baby Bank is able to re-open, in addition to providing clothes and baby related equipment it offers a welcoming environment for families to meet together, have a chat and cup of tea or coffee.
Cranleigh Rotary Club is delighted to be able to support this valued community service and are pleased to facilitate this fundraising campaign.
