Story

We are encouraging everyone to get Active for Autism! Take on our 5 exercise challenge and donate to Daisy Chain to help us continue providing services and support to families affected by autism.

Daisy Chain is a lifeline to many families living in the Tees Valley and surrounding areas - however, the damaging impact COVID-19 will have on our finances will be huge, with the charity set to lose a substantial amount of income.

You can help to support us in these uncertain times - simply make a donation and get Active for Autism!

We're giving you a few ideas to get you started. Try these 5 exercises - if they're too easy, try doubling the quantity, or do each one for a minute.

20 Star Jumps

20 Press Ups

20 Squats

20 Lunges

Hold a plank for 20 seconds

Once you've taken on your exercises, why not challenge friends, family or colleagues to do the same? If you're working from home, self-isolating or otherwise unable to go out, use this challenge to get up and moving each day - you can even track how many more you can do each day or week!

If you take photos or videos for social media, don't forget to tag Daisy Chain and use the hashtag #DCActiveforAutism

We're suggesting a donation of £5 but you can donate however much you are able to - every donation will help us to continue providing vital services and support to families affected by autism in our local area, some of whom need us now more than ever during this time of disruption and uncertainty.

Thank you all for your continued support.
