**UPDATE**Thank you so, so much! We never could have imagined such a fantastic response, and we have now raised £3 000, enough to move and keep going until Christmas! We have had a few good options suggested to us for premises that we will investigate this week.

After discussion, we have decided to keep the appeal open and up the target. Any further money raised will go towards putting us onto a more secure financial footing in the new year and towards the Christmas Appeal, due to launch at the end of October.

Skipton Food Bank gives over 25 tonnes of food a year to people in crisis across Craven. We work by referral through local agencies and feed over 80 people a week. We are a very small charity - part of Skipton Baptist Church - and are run by volunteers, with a part-time paid manager. On the 23rd October we are going to be homeless and will have to close unless we can find new premises. Can you help us?

We have moved once this year already, into a place that we hoped was going to be our home for a couple of years, but have already been given notice. We have spent a good deal of our limited resources on moving and fitting out our workroom. While we can take the shelving with us, we are now really short of funds heading into our busiest season (Sept-Dec) and urgently need finances to be able to move into somewhere new. Could you donate or fundraise for us?
