St Andrew's First Aid has been saving lives for nearly 140 years. Our volunteers have supported communities throughout this time, and daily, we continue to deliver the highest quality first aid and teaching practices across Scotland.

Since 1882 we have tended to casualties at football matches, music events and all types of community gatherings. In 1971 our volunteers were first on the scene at the Ibrox Disaster where sadly 66 people were killed, as well as the bin lorry crash in 2014.

Since last March when lockdown was announced, we knew that the call for our volunteers would be heightened. Our volunteers have collectively logged over 6,000 hours volunteering in local communities, helping those who are vulnerable and most in need. This amounted to over 6,000 deliveries of essential items and catering to over 10,000 people across Scotland.

Our volunteers are heroes and have supported communities by making food and essentials deliveries, prescription deliveries and call centre support. They continue to support communities by assisting the NHS to deliver care home flu jab clinics in partnership in Ayrshire & Arran, Lothian and Greater Glasgow and Clyde.

It's at this time we ask you to help us continue the work that we do. Due to the devastating effects of the COVID19 pandemic our charity is facing a loss in regular income sources up to £1million by the end of the year and we are asking if you can help by making a one-off donation that will help us to continue saving lives and supporting communities across Scotland.
