Story
We run two community food pantries in Bath, one in Southdown and one in the City Centre, where local people who need access to low-cost, high quality food can shop each week. The demand for low-cost food is growing as household budgets are being squeezed, particularly given the recent changes to Universal Credit, the end of the furlough scheme, rising energy and food prices.
Each year in the lead up to Christmas, Oasis Hub Bath runs a 'Give a Gift' campaign to support projects in our community. This year, we plan to 'Give a Gift' to each of our Oasis Pantry members and their households.
We'd love to be able to offer some additional festive foods to our members in the lead up to Christmas. We'd also like to give each member a small gift, for example a small treat for adults, and a family game, toy or crafts for children. We have around 130 households attending our pantries, and we would like to raise £1,500 to provide these gifts.
Each year the feedback we receive from our members is so heartfelt and appreciative of the extra gifts and food we're able to provide at Christmas - any donation you are able to make will be so appreciated.
