#GivingTuesday is Tuesday, December 1st and this year, Klehm Arboretum & Botanic Garden has a goal of purchasing a new Elkay Outdoor EZH2O Water Fountain with Bottle Filling Station, an upgrade that will benefit our visitors and the environment in a number of ways.

The Elkay Outdoor EZH2O Water Fountain with Bottle Filling Station features both a bubbler attachment and bottle filling station made from corrosion-resistant material that is ideal for outdoor use. The bubblers feature a chrome-plated integral hood guard to prevent contamination from other users, airborne deposits and tampering, and both the bubblers and the bottle filler meet ADA guidelines for reach range and wheelchair access. This fountain is intended to replace Klehm's current drinking fountain located outside of the Clarcor Pavilion.

Not only will visitors of all ages and abilities be able to access the water fountain and bottle filler from high traffic areas such the Nancy Olson Children's Garden, the Demonstration Gardens, and the Fountain Garden, but they will also be able to more easily refill water bottles and other reusable containers with this touchless model of bottle filler.

And upgrading to an Elkay Outdoor EZH2O Water Fountain with Bottle Filling Station isn't just beneficial to our visitors, it also benefits the environment. The Elkay Outdoor EZH2O Water Fountain with Bottle Filling Station is an eco-friendly alternative to Klehm's current water fountain, which was installed when the Clarcor Pavilion was first built in 1993. Water fountains with bottle fillers, such as the Elkay Outdoor EZH2O Water Fountain with Bottle Filling Station, have been shown to promote the use of reusable water bottles and reduce the usage of single-use plastics, as well as conserve water.

Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous sponsor, an indoor water fountain with a bottle filler has already been secured for the Main Visitor's Center and 50% of the cost of the outdoor water fountain has been covered.
