Help us to support local families in need this Christmas - your vital support will make a real difference to local families who are experiencing difficulties.

With your support we can continue to help families such as:

The mum with a young child, who fled domestic abuse and was re-housed in the local area - knowing no one. A friendly familiar voice each week made all the difference to reducing their isolation and loneliness - especially needed during Covid lockdowns- and helped mum cope with the demands of a busy toddler as a single parent.

The family where Mums long-standing struggles with mental health was exacerbated by lockdown and she lost all confidence in being able to leave the house. One of our trained volunteers is supporting the mum to build back her confidence and take the children outside for much needed play opportunities.

The Mum who gave birth to premature twins and is now juggling the demands of two babies plus the additional health complications of one twin. What a difference an extra pair of hands can make from a volunteer!

The Mum who had her first baby in COVID with no family support - the only other adult she sees or talks to is our Home Start Volunteer.

The family who found themselves in financial difficulties, struggling to provide enough food.

The parent who has never parented before and needs the reassurance and guidance of another parent, to grow in confidence and learn to enjoy their child.
