Story
Each week, we help hundreds of local people affected by terminal illness and bereavement and members of our HOME team travel hundreds of miles across Hambleton and Richmondshire, offering care to patients in the comfort and safety of their own homes.
Your mission: Make it 100 in May. Make every step matter!
Take part in our Hospice 100 Challenge and help us be there for local families living with terminal illnesses and bereavement across Hambleton and Richmondshire. Get motivated, get outside and make a difference - one step at a time!
Walk, run, jog, cycle, swim, or even dance towards a 100-themed challenge and raise £100 or more for local hospice care. You could try for 100miles in a month, 100k, or keep active for 100 minutes a day for a month? Do 100 sit ups? It's up to you.
Every step you take and every £1 you raise or donate will make a big difference. What's more, we hope you will enjoy the benefits of this challenge to help you your family get out, about keep active and enjoy the feel good factor and sense of achievement.
Why 100?
Last year we were inspired by Joyce Richardson at the age of 99, Joyce completed 100 stand ups before her 100th birthday! Whatever your age or ability, you can take part in this challenge!
When you raise £100 you could:
Help a member of our specialist HOME service provide a package of care for someone affected by terminal illness, helping them remain in the place they feel most safe and comfortable, surrounded by the people and things that matter most.
Help provide a package of resources to support children or young people with their emotional wellbeing or bereavement during the pandemic, using technology and online resources to help them deal with challenges in these strange and unsettling new times.
