Kerri Robinson was a much loved lady who was caring, funny and full of life. Kerri was sadly taken from us far too early and left behind two wonderful children Keira and Charlie and her husband Scott; as well as many close family and friends. Kerri was a senior social worker working with children placed with foster parents and she was excellent in her job. Kerri was so supportive to her foster parents and was the most child centred professional in every way; see attached drawing from one of her children. Kerri was only 43 years old and had been in good health previously; the symptoms of the pulmonary embolism seemed to appear quickly and too late for Kerri to seek treatment. We all miss Kerri so much and we want to celebrate her life in a fun a vibrant way that we know she would’ve enjoyed. We have arranged 2 events for everyone to join in no matter where they may be. One is a Zumba style 80’s theme class on 3rd April 2024 which will be streamed to all colleagues and foster parents to join in and we hope that this will raise awareness of the importance of keeping fit and healthy. The second event is a memorial walk on Saturday 18th May 2024 where we will be asking everyone to walk for a minimum of 2.5 miles and this can be completed anywhere. As well as raising awareness of keeping active and celebrating the life of our wonderful Kerri, we would like to raise a minimum of £1000 to support the fantastic work of Thrombosis UK and we kindly ask everyone to donate no matter how small or big to the just-giving page:
