Augsburg Family Scholars is a new program designed to narrow the opportunity gap for students with foster care backgrounds. The program seeks to provide comprehensive support that reflects the unique strengths and challenges shared by students with foster care backgrounds. By participating in the program, students benefit from intensive academic mentoring, additional financial support, and group events from Timberwolves games to haunted hayrides.

Most students with foster care backgrounds receive state grants, but 20% of the group do not. Without much, if any, family support or support from the state they need extra help. Your support would provide emergency support, grocery cards during the holiday breaks, educational supplies, and some tuition relief.
