Charlie started volunteering at the centre in 2018 - she was quiet, reserved and very introverted. As the time passed and her passion for the animals could no longer be contained, you could clearly see a change in Charlie's self-esteem, behaviour and ability to interact with others.
Charlie loved this place, and we treasured Charlie's kindness, knowledge and loving interest for our farm. Charlie felt herself here and was confident to take on any challenges set by our staff. Charlie helped out with events, always worked extremely hard and never knew when to put her shovel down. It was truly heartbreaking to all of us to hear of her passing, and we will miss her dearly.
Charlie was concerned for the welfare of the centre (especially her animals) during the Covid-19 pandemic. It has therefore been requested by Charlie's family to launch this JustGiving page to raise donations for the centre as Charlie would have wished.
