YOUR YMCA RISES TO THE CHALLENGE

Over the last year, our community was tested in ways we've never seen before. Together, we adapted to the challenges of a pandemic and learned new ways to keep ourselves, our kids and our families healthy and safe. As an organization with more than a century of experience in caring for our community, the Lincoln Family Downtown YMCA responded quickly to these challenges; creatively expanding our programs to meet our community when, where and how we are needed most.

Thanks to the generous support of our donors, we can continue to ensure the health, safety and well-being of every YMCA child and family; working to pave the way for a bright future and happy ending to the hundreds of stories that together, we play a part in, no matter their age, race, gender or socioeconomic status. But, there is more work to be done.

PROVIDING SAFE AND AFFORDABLE HOUSING FOR VALLEY RESIDENTS

As affordable rental opportunities within the Valley continue to decrease, the Lincoln Family Downtown YMCAs Residence program continues to be more important than ever. With your help, we will continue to operate one of the few remaining YMCA housing programs in the country; providing a vital service for our downtown community members. In addition to affordable and safe accommodation, the YMCA Residence Program provides case management, encouragement and connection. Our strong partnerships with other providers enable us to support and meet the needs of our residents. These services inspire our residents to not only achieve new milestones, but wellness of their spirit, mind and body.

$1,000 Provides two months of housing for a person waiting on acceptance to public housing

$500 Provides one month of housing for a person experiencing a significant life event

$250 Provides two weeks of housing for a resident who lost their job due to COVID-19

$125 Provides one week of groceries for a resident facing food insecurity

PROVIDING CRITICAL CHILD CARE FOR FAMILIES

With your help, we are committed to keeping our promise to the community to provide preschool and before- and after-school child care services, in addition to YMCA summer day camp and emergency child care for our community, when needed. These programs provide working parents with the peace of mind needed to attend to daily responsibilities; knowing their children are in good hands. Our quick response and ever-adapting programs will continue to prioritize education, learning and safety for the children in our care. With your support, we can provide these opportunities for every child in our community regardless of a family's inability to pay. The Lincoln Family Downtown YMCA needs your help to continue to provide financial assistance for programs and services like these for our most vulnerable populations.
