Story
We're riding the Little Lumpy to raise awareness and funds for the Midhurst Macmillan Service, the local, independent specialist palliative care service for West Sussex, south Surrey and east Hampshire.
The dedicated team at Midhurst Macmillan look after patients with cancer or a life-limiting illness at home whenever possible. The Doctors and specialists nurses, Clinical Support Team and professional counsellors travel hundreds of miles every year to look after patients and support and reassure their families at home.
Many of us have seen their selfless, compassionate work at first hand and we want to ensure that this unique service remains at the heart of our community for neighbours and friends far into the future.
This year many of us are riding the Little Lumpy in memory of the wonderful, much-loved and much-missed Victoria Leighton in recognition of the care she received from the lovely people at Midhurst Macmillan.
The name of the race is misleading. It's not "Little" - Andrew has most of us riding the Epic which is just under 125 miles and, with an elevation of 8,366ft, it's certainly "Lumpy". It's not the Giro but takes in some amazing hills and views in Surrey and Sussex.
Thank you for supporting us.
