Story

Luke will be running the famous London Marathon in 2026 in memory of his father who received weekly transfusions from the Lifeblood Suite at Croydon University Hospital for two years, before he sadly passed away following a cancer diagnosis.

Luke is running to say thank you to the teams that gave his family more precious time together.

Luke said:

"During his cancer treatment, my dad received weekly blood transfusions for two years at Croydon University Hospital, giving us precious extra time with him. Running the marathon is my way of giving back to the Trust and to those who cared for him so well. I hope I can do him proud.”

We are all very proud of Luke for taking on this huge challenge. Good luck and please support Luke in any way possible.
