As an organization with more than a century of experience in caring for our community, the Valley of the Sun YMCA responds quickly to these challenges; creatively expanding our programs to meet our community when, where and how we are needed most.
Thanks to the generous support of our donors, we can continue to ensure the health, safety and well-being of every YMCA child and family. We are working to pave the way for a bright future to all of our community no matter their age, race, gender or socioeconomic status.
ADVANCING CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT
Y programs are committed to executing experiences rich in social/emotional learning because youth do better when they have supportive adults nurturing their potential.
In 2022, the Northwest Valley Family YMCA will: Provide 100 families with scholarships for before and after school and day camp programs
DEVELOPING COMMUNITY LEADERS
Y programs provide experiences that build a sense of belonging and welcome young people to develop their self-identity.
In 2022, the Northwest Valley Family YMCA will: Engage 350 youth in the community in youth sports programming
DROWNING PREVENTION
Y programs provide critical safety around water knowledge and teach swimming skills for youth and adults.
In 2022, the Northwest Valley Family YMCA will: Provide water safety programming to 80 families
SUPPORTING SENIORS
Y programs work to reduce depression and fear through outreach and safe social gatherings.
In 2022, the Northwest Valley Family YMCA will: Provide experiences for 80 seniors to socialize and develop a healthy lifestyle
