Story

What an incredible gesture from Piers Morgan to personally donate £15,000 to Scotty's Little Soldiers after taking part in the Christmas edition of Who Wants to be a Millionaire.

At Scotty's we provide support to children & young people who have lost a parent who served in the British Armed Forces. Our help for bereaved military children is delivered through 4 Family Programmes, SMILES (fun and community), SUPPORT (health and well-being), STRIDES (education & development) & SPRINGBOARD (19-25 year olds).

On average it will cost us around £1,200 to provide one young person with access to our 4 Family Programmes during 2021*.

The average Millionaire prize win is £50,000 which would provide a years worth of support for 41 bereaved children! Can you help Piers and Scottys support the children of our heroes?

HOW EACH PRIZE LEVEL COULD MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO OUR WORK:

£100 > Would provide 5 bereaved children with a thinking of you token on the anniversary of their parents death.

£200 > Provide 10 bereaved families with a Remembrance Day family meal voucher

£300 > Would provide 2 bereaved children with a Scotty Allowance activity grant

£500 > Would provide a week long stay for a bereaved family at a Scotty Lodge

£1,000 > Would provide a higher education grant to a bereaved young person

£2,000 > Would provide 1 years full support to 1 bereaved young person.

£4,000 > 1 years full support to 3 bereaved young people

£8,000 > 1 years full support to 6 bereaved young people

£16,000 > 1 years full support to 13 bereaved young people

£32,000 > 1 years full support to 26 bereaved young people

£64,000 > 1 years full support to 53 bereaved young people

£125,000 > 1 years full support to 104 bereaved young people

£250,000 > 1 years full support to 208 bereaved young people

£500,000 > 1 years full support to 416 bereaved young people

£1,000,000 > 2 years full support to over 400 bereaved young people.
