Play to the Crowd is a registered arts and education charity. Our vision is to Delight and Unite, by inspiring people to connect with and participate in live performance - both indoors and out! We invite audiences to 'escape from the ordinary' and discover a lifelong love of theatre and the arts.

It costs over £5000 a day just to 'open our doors' and we receive less than 25% of that amount from public funding and local authorities. Our communities need support to reduce isolation, improve well-being and strengthen social capital. The arts are vital in achieving this.

Every year, our work - including dance, music, theatre, circus, family performance, pantomime, comedy and more! - reaches over 140,000 people, of all ages, backgrounds and abilities.

Yet, we know we can do more to support and engage those most in need. We want to tackle local issues and create real solutions. We want to further embed ourselves into our local community. We want to engage everyone in live performance.
