Story

DILLON UPDATE..... May we thank all identified donators who have replied to our email in the last few days and for all your wonderful messages of support. We felt it only right, that all known donators were contacted and informed of Dillons sad news on a personal level, before any public announcement was made. Thanks again. Just For Dogs x

For everyone else we were unable to contact personally...

Dear Anonymous Donators, It is with great sadness that following a referral appointment, with an ophthalmologist, involving extensive tests we are informed that the much hoped for surgery, to remove Dillons cataracts cannot go ahead.

As well as his cataracts, Dillon also has two other conditions within his eyes, one of which could lead to glaucoma which in effect could lead to the removal of his eyes. He has now been prescribed eye drops twice daily for life and we pray this will be enough to avoid such invasive surgery. We feel that for Dillon to be given a fighting chance of a loving home we must offer to financially support him in the future as 6 monthly check-ups with an eye specialist have also been advised.

We whole-heartedly thank you for donating towards Dillons cataract operation and have been genuinely touched by the kindness and generosity of everyone concerned. However we also appreciate that each donation was given in the hope it would restore Dillons eyesight and as that is now no longer an option we are offering to return donations to anyone wanting a refund.

Want a refund? Heres what to do: Please email me at maggiesmith1929@gmail.com quoting your donation reference number, name and email address, which we will then pass onto JustGiving who in turn will take care of your refund. All emails are treated in strictest confidence and will only be shared with the JustGiving administration.

Any money remaining after all refunds have been given will stay in Dillons Fund for his future ophthalmic care.

Once again thank you for all your support, this was not the news we wanted to hear or relay to you, the only person who isnt saddened by the news is of course the adorable Dillon, who is totally oblivious to his missed opportunity

Kindest Regards,

Maggie & Dillon Just For Dogs East Midlands

He is a very loving, gentle and affectionate dog who will make someone a fantastic loyal and faithful friend.
