Run 4 TREEZ:

Malawi, a very little known country in South East Africa, suffers from one of the highest rates of deforestation in the world as 90% of the population rely on firewood and charcoal for cooking and heating. TREEZ (www.zombatreez.com) aims to help combat these detrimental effects through replanting trees, protecting areas so as to allow natural regeneration and education in order to encourage sustainabilty and build resilience.

The Run4Reforestation, now in its third year, aims to raise money to help TREEZ replant and protect the Plateau and to raise awareness about the problems of deforestation and environmental degradation.

This year, sadly, we can't have a big fundraising event but if you are interested in helping, you can chose to either donate directly or to organize your own fundraising for TREEZ by following the fundraise link.

Run 5km, 10km or 21km in between the 5th and 12th of September and help us fight the deforestation here in Malawi.

These are difficult times for all but we hope that with all your help, we can continue to help protect the vulnerable communities whose livelihoods depend on the Plateau.
