Story

*** UPDATED 09.06.20

Skye Community Response work to ensure that everyone living on Skye and Raasay has someone to turn to for help during the ongoing COVID - 19 crisis. We also support health care and social care services in the wider Skye and Lochalsh area.

To date we have spent in excess of £35,000 providing PPE and medical equipment (much of which will have a legacy) - around 75,000 individual items of emergency PPE have been issued to local hospitals, surgeries, care homes, carers in the community, health care charities and key workers.

Around £15,000 has been spent helping individuals and families to access food, prescriptions, advice, and other practical support with almost 1000 people having been supported via an island-wide helpline.

With uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 going forward and the potential for a second wave of the virus we anticipate that local communities will continue to face challenges surrounding finances, health and well being.

By donating today, you will be assisting Skye Community Response to continue to provide support as long as it's required. Any donations, large or small are hugely appreciated. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them or send unwanted emails.

If you would like any more details on the support that Skye Community Response has provided please do not hesitate to get in touch on info@skyecommunityresponse.co.uk or go to www.skyecommunityresponse.co.uk.

Thank you very much for all of your support.
