To show solidarity and support for any person that may have felt out of control and felt they are falling, championship boxers Stephen and Liam Smith, will be joined by the young people that came up with the idea, Amber, full time student and Alfie, another great young man that wants to help us make a difference, and they have all decided to throw themselves out of a plane from 15000 feet on Monday 7th August (with a parachute attached) to show that no matter how hard you fall someone is always there to catch you.
The Smith Brothers are 4 brothers, and it's impossible to imagine another family ever achieving what they already have in British boxing. Paul, Stephen, Liam and Callum Smith have all been British champions. They've all challenged for world titles. Liam and Callum Smith have both already been world champions.
They are all extremely motivated by charitable work as they grew up with their sister Hollie who has autism and is nonverbal making it extremely frustrating sometimes for her to communicate, so they understand how important support is to people in their position and want to give this support they have had back to the community.
The Smith brothers typically box with the word autism stitched on the back of their shorts, to raise awareness and understanding about the condition. Helping people with autism is a strong part of the brother’s desire to set up their own foundation and to create a legacy for the entire family, as family means everything to them all.
We are not a charity that gives funding to people, but we give people the tools through education to help create a better life for themselves and they can then sustain this moving forward. You will see us in many areas of the community, from delivering community workshops, educating, and mentoring many young people including those that mainstream education may not work for, radio shows, podcasts coming soon and much more, and we are now going from strength to strength, and we are hoping we will have our own venue that will be a real community hub soon.
Every penny donated we are so grateful for and it will all go directly to The Smith Brothers Foundation so that all the fantastic community work to help people that may otherwise feel they are falling, can continue.
