Story
Sophie is aged 2 from Tranmere on The Wirral. She turned our world upside down arriving 10 weeks early March 2019. After arriving via emergency c-section, we were told Sophie had developed a bleed on the brain, which would affect her physical development.
Almost two years on since Sophies birth, she has still not reached any of her milestones, and has been diagnosed with evolving quadriplegic cerebral palsy.
Sophie has help and support from occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and ophthalmology. This is all provided by the NHS which we are grateful for. However, we know other therapies which are provided privately will greatly improve Sophies development.
Blue Skies Ahead has been our lifeline. We attend regular sessions weekly, where Sophie has received a combination of reflex integration, CFT, vibration therapy, portage and movement lesson. We have already seen huge development within a few months, and are looking forward to what the future holds for Sophie.
We are hoping to raise funds for Just4Children to continue with Sophies therapies and specialist equipment, including Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. We are grateful for any donations made to help towards these costs.
