The path From Doddnaze runs steeply into the valley bottom.
It has some steps that are completely rotten, as you can see from the photo above.
There is also a steep muddy slope known locally as the slide of death where the only way to get up or down is to hold on to a fence with barbed wire on the top!
After discussion with some residents, CROWS volunteers who fix footpaths locally want to put in 50 steps to make it a safe route.
We have the promise of some funding from Calderdale Highways and a local landowner, but need to raise £500 to complete the whole job. Ideally we would like to get this done before the New Year as the path is lethal in the winter.
