Dear Woofers,

As you know Suffolk Dog Day has raised over £500,000 to support local charities here in Suffolk.

The intense heat and dry conditions have forced us to cancel this year's event this weekend - 29th July 2018 . This is obviously devastating news for everyone who has donated their time and worked so hard to put this special event on.

In reality, it also means that we will lose between £50,000 and £60,000 of donations to support the genuinely vital work of our local charities and community groups.

We know you are all feeling sad about today's news, but if you would like to make a donation here, it will all add up and go some way towards filling the gap.

Thank you so much everyone, thank you for your kind words and we hope donations too.
