Story

This July sees the return of Wild at Heart Foundation's Who Cares Wins: the challenge where our supporters compete to raise funds for dogs in need.

Whilst we know our supporters are sure to have some amazing fundraising ideas up their sleeves, we wanted to show our solidarity with all the incredible fundraisers out there who are giving up their time and talent to raise money to help end the suffering of stray dogs all over the world.

That's why the Wild at Heart Foundation team are taking on a unique fundraising challenge each...

Eleanor: "My dog's heaven in 11" | Combining the all-time favourite activities of her dogs, Eleanor will be completing an 11k challenge with a difference. She'll first embark upon an 8 kilometre run through her dog's favourite walking route...hills and all. Waiting at the finish line is a 1k roll, followed by a 1km hop (a nod to her 3-legged dog!), and finally a 1km mud crawl.

Elizabeth: Climbing Mount Snowdon | Whilst the WAHF team won't be ranking on the overall Who Cares Wins leaderboard, Elizabeth isn't going to let that stop her reaching new heights. She'll be climbing the lofty peaks of Wales (or the equivalent in metres should Covid not permit!) all in the name of dog.

Hannah: Doggy-Treats Baked to Order | As an expert baker, Hannah will be using her skills to treat the dogs of England to some delicious homebaked goodies which taste all the sweeter for the good they'll cause. In exchange for a donation, Hannah can hand-deliver or post her compassionate concoctions to anywhere in the UK.

Kasey: Maggie's Marvellous Raffle | Never one to shy away from the chance to raise money for her fellow rescues, Maggie the Wunderdog will be hosting an exclusive raffle (on her Mum's behalf of course!), giving her fans and friends an exclusive chance to both win some goodies and also raise money for dogs in need.

Olivia: Learn Greek in a Month | With two partner shelters in Greece and 100s of happy Grecian dogs adopted here in the UK, Olivia is taking this opportunity to put a unique spin on fundraising, challenging herself to master the Greek language in just 31 days.

Meghan: Kayak a Mile a Day | Meghan's on a mission to kayak 31 miles this July on a quest to help rescue dogs who need it most. Why not sponsor her £1 a mile to help spur her on?!

Sami: 100 Kilometre Challenge | Sami may not be an experienced runner, but she's certainly not afraid of a challenge! She'll putting her trainers to the test this month as she runs 100km for dogs in need.

We'd be so grateful if you could show us your support as we embark on our eclectic fundraising adventure! We're looking forward to keeping you updated as we go along on our Instagram, and we'll be so thankful for any donations you can spare.

If our activities have inspired you, we'd absolutetly love you to get involved...and what's more, you could be in the running to win an amazing grand prize of a Hunter backpack stuffed full of treats, gadgets and goodies for you and your dog.

PLUS! raise £50 or more and well send you a Wild at Heart Foundation T-shirt to say thank you!

You can find out more about the prizes on offer and how to take part on our website: https://wildatheartfoundation.org/who-cares-wins/. Thank you, and good luck!
