Join us as we help raise funds to support cancer patients, their families and all those affected by cancer throughout Ireland, with all funds raised being donated to the Irish Cancer Society.
In 2020, over 45,000 people were diagnosed with cancer in Ireland. More people in Ireland are being diagnosed with cancer now than ever before. It is for this reason we have decided to harness the determination, compassion, and hope of Terry Fox to raise funds for The Irish Cancer Society, as we work towards a future where nobody dies from cancer, and anybody affected by cancer will have access to world class treatment and support. This is the mission of the Irish Cancer Society, just as this was the dream of Terry Fox.
The Irish Cancer Society is the largest independent funder of cancer research in Ireland. They are a community of patients, survivors, volunteers, supporters, health & social care professional and researchers. Together, they are transforming the experiences and outcomes of people affected by cancer, through advocacy work, support services, and research.
The Irish Cancer Society have dedicated almost 30 million in funding to cancer research projects over the last decade. All the funds raised from the (Virtual) Terry Fox Run Ireland 2021 will help support these unique and necessary projects, adding to the 575 million that has been raised for cancer research worldwide over the past 41 years in the name of Terry Fox.
