Story
Coronavirus will impact our community disproportionately. Over time, COVID-19 will reveal some persistent injustices at the heart of our society.
It's not easy to stockpile food or medicine, when money is so tight. It's difficult to self-isolate when your "home" is overcrowded and getting out has been your best means of escape. A high proportion of our children already rely on school and the Winch for two nutritious meals a day.
The next few months are going to be tough and we will need your support more than ever. With the input of our families, the experience of our staff, and your support, we will face this challenge together.
Here is how you can help:
£10 will pay for a care package for when we check up on our most vulnerable neighbors
£15 will pay for a sim card with 15GB data and unlimited calls allowing the most isolated in our community to stay connected with family and friends.
£25 will fund vouchers for an emergency food shop
£50 will enable our staff to coordinate efforts with our local community to prevent isolation and remain responsive to the challenges of their beneficiaries.
It is only with your help that we will be able to achieve our goal - connecting people to foster kinder and more resourceful neighborhoods. As difficult as this crisis looks, we believe in the power of community.
Thank you for your kind support.
