Each year, Youth Music Theatre UK offers a comprehensive Bursary Scheme in order to reduce course fees for the third of our company members who need financial assistance in order to achieve their potential. Approximately 70% of bursaries are awarded to young people from households with an income of £25,000 or less, and we need your help to ensure we can continue to offer high-quality arts opportunities to the most talented young people across the UK and further afield. We have already raised £65,000 in 2018, and you can help us reach our target of £300,000 by 2022! To learn more about the opportunities we offer, watch a snapshot of our work HERE.
Quotes from bursary recipients:
"The production was such an unforgettable experience for me. This is such a big accomplishment I've made this year by being a part of the YMT company, and none of this would've happened If I hadn't been given the bursary" - Cast member, Tess of the dUrbervilles, Theatre Royal, Winchester (2017), The Other Palace, West End (2018)
"I had the opportunity to perform amongst and work with so many amazing and talented people. I had such an amazing time away, and I have made so many memories I will not forget. If it was not for kind donations, I would not have been able to do this amazing experience" - Cast member, Children of the New Forest, Barbican Theatre, Plymouth (2017)
