Due to the situation with COVID 19, we feel it is not safe for us to collect the Christmas shoeboxes from all over Scotland this year. However, we do not want the disadvantaged children in Romania to be disappointed at not receiving their usual Christmas gifts. These gifts are a highlight of the year for the children and they start praying and looking forward to the safe transport of the gifts in October!

Vision Romania Trustees have been in touch with our partners in Romania (Sunshine in the Villages charity) and have asked them, if we are able to raise funds, would they be able to make up gifts for the children similar to what they normally receive in their shoebox. Head of that team, Dani Hritac, has assured us that they would be able to do this.

In light of this, our appeal this year is that we are asking our individual supporters to sponsor a child or childrens gifts (suggested donation of £10 per child but all donations welcome) and for schools, churches, and other organisations that they sponsor a village.
