There are just 20,000 lions left in the wild!! 90% lost in just 55 years. There is a real and imminent threat they could disappear from much of their current range in the wild. Will we be the generation that allows the King of the Animals to fade away? NOT ON OUR WATCH!

We are challenging you to take 20,000 steps in a single day, between Monday 4th July and World Lion Day on Wednesday 10th August, one step for each of the lions left in their natural habitat. Every step you take will raise vital funds to ensure their survival in the wild now and for future generations.

This challenge is open to all Wild Walkers and you can participate wherever you are in the world - just sign up through this campaign, pick a date that suits you and Walk on the Wild Side for Lions. Make sure you've visited the Born Free website and registered your challenge so we can send you encouraging emails with fundraising and fitness tips!
