Story
We are excited to announce that Walk4Wellbeing is back and this time, its not just for the day but for the whole month of July!
This year we have set the challenge to either walk every day for 30 days or to set your own walking challenge during the month of July.
Walk4Wellbing is an opportunity to get outdoors, get some exercise and enjoy going out for a walk. Not only is this a great way to look after your wellbeing but equally it's a chance to support the work of SignHealth by fundraising, donating and spreading the word to reach those who may not have heard of SignHealth before.
Come and get involved and challenge yourself to walk and fundraise for SignHealth with Walk4Wellbeing. We raised an amazing £2000 last year and look to raise even more this year but cant do this without your support.
Anyone can get involved, by yourself or do it together with your friends and family, plus its absolutely free!
If you register AND set up a JustGiving fundraising page, you will receive a FREE Walk4Wellbeing T-shirt. Please go to the SignHealth website for more information and to get involved- www.signhealth.org.uk/get-involved/walk4wellbeing-2022/
Who are SignHealth:
SignHealth is the only national charity working to improve the health and wellbeing of Deaf sign language users.
Deaf people find it difficult to access healthcare and face communication barriers and, consequently, have poorer mental and physical health than the rest of the population. SignHealths vision is a world without barriers to good health and wellbeing for Deaf people. We provide a range of health and social care services in British Sign Language (BSL) specialising in mental health. Your support means a great deal, ensuring we are able to continue to make a significant difference through our specialist services and advocacy work on behalf of 70,000 BSL users and the wider deaf community in the UK. Your donation will ensure we continue to tackle health inequality, supporting Deaf people access healthcare, psychological therapy, housing and domestic abuse services they need.
