At Welcare we work with children and families across South London and East Surrey. We strive to empower families with children up to the age of 13 by offering practical and emotional support to overcome challenges and change their lives for the better.

Welcare staff and volunteers aim to intervene early to provide practical and emotional help and support to strengthen families who are experiencing difficulties. Our aim is to enable a parents become the very best parent they can be to their children, to engage with their available networks and to improve the outcomes for vulnerable children and families. We support families affected by domestic violence, mental health challenges, substance misuse, financial hardships and other difficulties.

We respond to individual needs, by offering practical and emotional support in either one-to-one sessions or group work programmes. Our services are tailored to the real needs of the communities in which we work. We provide practical help and support to families, empowering them to rebuild their lives and access opportunities to ensure their children have a happy, confident childhood and future.

By raising funds for Welcare you will help children like Carly. Carly's family doesn't have much money and her mum suffers with mental health difficulties as a result. Carly started to hurt herself, she was tired and stressed. Welcare was able to support Carly and also find more financial support for the family. Carly's family is getting on much better now, Carly is not worried anymore and no longer hurts herself.

The Asics London 10k run is the UK's leading 10k running event. We'll be running a closed route past some of London's most iconic landmarks including Big Ben, The Ritz, St Paul's Cathedral, Trafalgar Square and the historic Westminster Abbey, finishing at the Cenotaph on Whitehall. See the sights of this great city while raising funds that will make a direct difference in the lives of children and families in their time of need.
