YMCA North Tyneside have been supporting our local community since 1879. We are hoping to host a number of free events for the community to help people with cost of living this Winter. To support us to do this, we are contacting local businesses and our general community to ask if they are able to help us in any way.

We are hosting a number of events across the next few months with the aim of supporting vulnerable people in the community with the tough months ahead due to the cost of living crisis. We will be holding free events such as;

- Providing warm hub areas with hot drinks, food and play areas for children and families

- Baby and Toddler entertainment in a warm space

- Providing hot evening meals for those in our community from our cafe

- Themed nights such as movie nights with popcorn for young people and meet Santa for little children

- Christmas wrapping nights where we provide a hot drink and free wrapping paper for people to come along and wrap their gifts in our cafe one evening

- Providing warm clothing for people

- Providing Christmas gifts for our young people and children in nursery

As part of all of these events we will have staff and volunteers present to talk to and support people, offer signposting advice and guidance, from health to finances.
