Story
If you have ever met Zayd, you will know that behind his beautiful smile is a little boy who has already been through more than most children will ever have to face.
Zayd is 4 years old from Slough and has cerebral palsy, PVL and global developmental delay, alongside complex medical needs. His journey has included hospital admissions, procedures, feeding difficulties and so many challenges that we never imagined our little boy would have to face.
But through all of this, Zayd is still Zayd. He smiles. He laughs. He loves his nursery rhymes. He finds joy in the little things. And he keeps showing us, in his own way, just how much fight and determination he has.
As his parents, we spend so much time thinking about his future and wondering what more we can do to help him.
One of the things we desperately want to give Zayd is the opportunity to access intensive physiotherapy at the NAPA Centre. We want to give him the chance to work on his movement, strength, posture and physical abilities through intensive, specialist therapy tailored around his needs.
I know there are no guarantees. I know therapy can’t magically take away Zayd’s disabilities.
But if there is an opportunity that could help him make progress, I want to be able to say that we tried.
Because when your child has cerebral palsy, the things other people might see as tiny achievements can feel absolutely enormous:
A little more strength
A little more movement
A little more control
A new ability that we never knew was possible
Every little step matters
The reality is that intensive private therapy is expensive, and as a family we cannot fund this on our own. That is why we are asking for your help.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help us get closer to giving Zayd this opportunity. And if you can’t donate, simply sharing his story could make such a huge difference.
I’m not asking you to change Zayd’s future. I’m asking you to help us give him every opportunity to build one.
