Story
The ALERT Education Centre project benefits local people through a range of empowerment programs: classes, workshops, internships and research placements.
•Conservation education teaches basic conservation, biology, ecology and geography to promote the importance of natural resource management
•Basic life skills courses provide lessons on social skills, employment, relationships, etc
•Health and nutrition lessons on diet, lifestyles, disease and family planning promote the need to make healthy and safe life choices
•Fully-funded internships and research placements offer local students the opportunity to gain practical experience to support their academic learning
•Vocational Training improves employment opportunities through practical experience
•Many students are unable to afford to attend school, so this program funds tuition fees
