Story
Al Hajjaj was set up with a vision to send poor people for Hajj who cannot afford the trip themselves. Hajj is not compulsory for the poor but many still have a dream to visit the house of God. Over the years we have sent a homeless man for Hajj, people suffering from depression, reverts, elderly, sick people, widows, cancer sufferers and people from rural villages from very impoverished back grounds. All of the people that we send for Hajj qualify to receive Zakat. If we send sisters for Hajj we ensure that they are accompanied by their Mehrams or that they fulfil the criteria in Islam to be able to travel without Mehrams. We request people to share our vision to send as many poor people for Hajj as possible by donating as generously as possible. Remember in Islam, giving to charity has great reward and it never decreases wealth!
