Barnet Mencap is an organisation supporting people with learning disabilities in the borough. We pride ourselves in providing services, activities and support to our local community; something we have now been doing successfully for over 50 years.   

From the 1st December we will be launching our ‘12 days of Christmas Fundraising’ Campaign in order to raise funds for our Family Support project. The project supports parents and carers of children with a learning disability.  

There is currently a lack of positive play opportunities in Barnet and the funds raised will be used to run day activities during the school holidays, providing the families with a safe and supportive play environment.

Throughout the 12 days the staff, members and volunteers of Barnet Mencap will carry out 12 days of fundraising in the community including holding an online auction, bag packing at Tescos Ballards Lane, Carolling at Edgware station and holding a Swimathon at Finchley Lido (a full programme to be posted shortly).

Please feel free to get involved by coming down to one of the activities, spreading the word in person and on social media or providing a gift for the online auction. If you cannot make it down to the event and you would like to support us please make a donation online.
