Preventable accidents are the second biggest killer of children in the UK.
The Child Accident Prevention Trust (CAPT) is a small UK charity on a big mission: to reduce the number of children killed, disabled or seriously injured in accidents.
Your £5 will help us make more parents and carers aware of risks old and new, such as how:
- Nappy sacks can suffocate babies
- Harmless looking button batteries can cause horrific internal burns when swallowed by a child
- Hair straighteners can cause life-changing burns to a baby – even when they’ve been unplugged for 15 minutes
