As we approach the festive period our thoughts turn to spending time with our loved ones. For some, however, it can be a difficult and lonely time due to the loss of a loved one either recently or in years gone by. Cransley Hospice’s Tree of Lights ceremonies offer an occasion to reflect and remember those who are no longer here with us. The lights on the trees are lit in remembrance of cherished family and friends and will shine brightly throughout the festive period until the Twelfth Night (5th January). Lights can also be sponsored in memory of a loved one who didn’t receive care from Cransley Hospice as the lights will shine collectively to remember all those who have been lost from our local community.
Our ceremonies are held to mark the lighting of the trees. There will be poems and readings, carols, and music. The ceremonies will last approximately 30 minutes and will be followed by tea and coffee and the chance to purchase small memorial gifts.
To sponsor a light in memory of your loved one, please make a donation on this page. Your donation will enable us to continue to provide highly specialised end-of-life care for the people of north Northamptonshire. This care and support is provided at no cost to the patient or their family.
