Story

Over many years Hospice volunteers have spent thousands of hours working in our beautiful woodland for the benefit of our patients and families, creating a peaceful haven in which flowers and wildlife flourish. Currently the vast majority of the woodland is not accessible to wheelchairs or patients with mobility difficulties. During our Bluebell season patients often have to admire the sea of blue 'from afar'. Patients talk of our Woodland as 'a breath of fresh air' when for long periods they have only had four walls to look at and for families with small children, being outside and seeing those children being 'normal' is guaranteed to put a smile on anyone's face.

To enable patients and families to enjoy the full extent of our woodland requires an extension of the path, so anything you can do or anything you can give will make a massive difference to our patients and their families.
